Region Template compact option

Currently, there are 3 options in Item Padding in a region Template: default, slim padding, and remove padding. Ideally, there will be a "compact" template option so that page items are displayed closer (and smaller) in the region. This is particularly useful when we create a form with a lot of page items.

This is currently on the roadmap for a future release of Oracle APEX.

FR-3682: FR-3682 Allow the capability to modify the general size of the items of a page
FR-3524: FR-3524 Have different theme options - one with more padding and one with less padding may be.

This is a great idea, and something we will look into adding in the future in some form. Moving to under consideration.

I think a lot of developers who are converting an old Oracle Forms application to APEX miss a compact option. It's incredible how many items you could put on a Forms page and still keep it very user friendly. Not everything has to be responsive and mobile friendly. A lot of APEX applications are business apps that run on PCs with monitors.
