4 Pane Mode in App Builder Layout

Idea Summary & Use Case
To have more flexibility when building apps.

Preferred Solution (Optional)
Just add one more pane.

We reviewed this idea carefully, and while it was interesting, we concluded that due to all the internal implications we need to take into account, it is unlikely to make its way into APEX.

    Though I'm not a huge fan of 4 vertical panes… I would love to be able to horizontally split one or more panes. 

    The help section would fit perfectly within half of a pane…

    Or make the number and layout of the panes flexible (3 or 4… horizontal/vertical… whole/half screen)
