Provide additional template layouts for modal pages

Idea Summary
Add more layout templates to modal pages.

Use Case
Modal pages' layout options are currently limited. It would be great to have more of the templates that can be used for standard pages available for a modal. 

For example, having the right-side column template in a modal would allow for some content to be housed in a vertically collapsible region giving more screen real-estate to the main content but the user would still have access to what may be important information.

Preferred Solution (Optional)
Provide some of the standard page templates to modal pages.

We reviewed this idea carefully, and while it was interesting, we concluded that it is unlikely to make its way into APEX in the foreseeable future.

    The challenge of having richer templates for modal dialog is because most modal dialogs are small enough to act as a mobile layout. Unless you make modals bigger yourself, but then what would happen for smaller modals?

    We will revisit this idea eventually. I think it's a valid request, however we can't commit on actioning it in the short term.
