Support hierarchical task in gantt chart, like JET can have

Idea Summary
JET can have hierarchical task in gantt chart. Maybe APEX can support this as well

Use Case
Task which has some sub tasks and want to see them friendly in the same page

Preferred Solution (Optional)
Since JET already support this, maybe APEX can leverage it.

This is currently on the roadmap for a future release of Oracle APEX.

    .. isn't that something that constitutes the true added value of a GANT? 
    So why is this even worth asking. Shouldn’t it be without saying.

    shouldn't it be without saying 

    applies to almost every possible component in APEX already, and some of it's a lot of work. We are a relatively small team, and we must prioritize our efforts. Thanks for your comment and vote!

    I understood the hidden criticism.
    I'm simply saying: It's one thing for products to go through an evolutionary process before they are mature.
    It's another thing to put down a product that merely delivers a partial performance of an existing (e.g.Jet) product. In the latter case, I have to ask what the point is.
    And that's (and only that) the hole point. 
    Keep on going, the team is amazing!

    @jayson hanes Just to clarfiy there isn't a way of using a Hierachial Gannt chart in Apex?

    @yemi.akinyemi the APEX Sample Charts app  https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/r/pm_demo/sample-charts/gantt shows a heirarchial gantt example, take a look under the hood!

    Hello,

    We are looking for this critical feature. Multiple task per row is not really a hierarchical tasks. my understanding is the right hand side just dumps all the associated task for the common row_id, without really showing interconnections between them. for instance, “Determine midtier” task could have had multiple sub tasks on its own. (the tasks in the right side of chart are rendered vertical if there is overlap in the dates…against thats not really hierarchical).

    Please provide basic features of JET chartsuch as hierarchy, dependency , etc.

    Or at least provide some workaround where the it can be implemented through custom code.

    I have to agree with Hrishi.
    The difference (see the Screenshots) between "JET cookbook example(hierarchical)" and "APEX Sample Chart -> Gants" is obvious.
    And I don't understand what's not to understand about it.

    We use APEX GANTT and this would add great benefit!
