Smart filter working with Interactive Grid/Report

Idea Summary
The new smart filter in 21.2 only works with classic report/cards.
But should also work with an Interactive grid/report

Use Case
The smart filter is a really nice feature, but you want to use it to filter the data and then change the data.
If it only applies for a classic report you have to use apex_item procedure to make the report editable

Preferred Solution (Optional)
I heard on the APEX Office hours that the search bar of IR/IG works completely different. So it is technically not possible to combine them.
Therefor I would like to suggest that when the developer disables and hides the standard search bar of the IG/IR it must be possible to link the smart filter to the IG/IR.

We reviewed this idea carefully, and while it was interesting, we concluded that it is unlikely to make its way into APEX in the foreseeable future.

    I think this idea is probably a duplicate and we may have even closed ones like it. However it seems to be a very popular request and it is explained very well here.

    Without actually counting I think it is the most requested improvement for faceted search (and now smart filters).
    I think it deserves more consideration. The solution may not be clear but the need is. IG and IR are more than just filtering (editing, sorting, aggregates …) it makes sense to combine the power of facets with these reporting capabilities.

    I like this idea. Right now, when you type a word to search and want to retype the search word, you need to remember to delete the previous search. Otherwise it acts like AND search and the end users have hard time understanding it.

    Our users demanded IG formatting and Saved Reports functionality, but also need easy filters, like what that Smart Filter provides. 

    I would have saved about a month's work if Apex supported this functionality exactly as John Snyders described above.  

    The solution may not be clear but the need is. IG and IR are more than just filtering (editing, sorting, aggregates …) it makes sense to combine the power of facets with these reporting capabilities.

    Granted, it wouldn't have taken a JS pro that long, but I'm not one, so that's what it took.

    IR user want multiple  search  with single column like in operation but user don't want to go action menu. They want smart search and one issue also there in 23.1.0 version 

    Even I am ready to use classic report but there is no Excel download option. CSV not supporting the Arabic character when user switch the languages to English or Arabic character but even csv report not downloading with Arabic character but at the same time I am can use download  functionality in interactive report.(English and Arabic). it's working fine.
