In this workshop, you will learn how to set up a highly-available website architecture and get introduced to some of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's (OCI) services.

You will be walked through step-by-step in provisioning a Virtual Cloud Network to contain your instances, a compute instance that will run WordPress for a website you can easily customize, and a MySQL database to store your data. Additionally, we will take a look at some useful networking features such as load balancers for high availability and DNS to create a web page address. Lastly, you will learn to use OS Management continuously develop your website's design as it grows.

This lab will walk users with little to no experience with cloud infrastructure services.

  • Lab 8: Making Your WordPress Server Highly Available
  • Some understanding of cloud and database terms is helpful
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is helpful
