Ever had a requirement to add advanced search to your APEX application? And did you know that Oracle Database and APEX provide everything you need?
Oracle Text allows developers to provide advanced list search types like Basic Keyword Search, Double Keyword Search, Proximity Search, Fuzzy Search, Soundex Search, and Accumulation Search along with advanced search capabilities such as Thematic Search, Gist Search, Filtered Doc, Full Themes Indexing on documents in minutes using Oracle Apex. This workshop demonstrates how to provide error-tolerant searching to your end users using Application Express and the Oracle Text database feature. Here, we will build a web application which will store documents in the Autonomous Database and use Oracle Text to allow users to filter, search, and view those documents with just a click with various APEX components.

  • Sample - Familiarity with Database is desirable, but not required
  • Some understanding of cloud and database terms is helpful
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is helpful
