There should be an easy way to add Icons to tabs

Idea Summary
There should be an easy way to add Icons to tabs, right now is way to difficult and complicated.

Use Case
I would love to be able to select a tab and add an fa icon to the right or left of the label.

Preferred Solution (Optional)
In a perfect world I would select a tab, select and icon for that tab, select a color for the icon, and identify on what side of the label the Icon should show.

This is currently on the roadmap for a future release of Oracle APEX.

Specifically which “tabs” does this refer to?

    see  https://forums.oracle.com/ords/apexds/post/icons-on-tabs-7583

    Using a “List” Region with
Attributes - Appearance - List Template: Tabs
Attributes - Appearance - Template Options - Icons: Inline with Label
works good for links to other pages to look like Tabs.

But for tabs on the same page with

    • Template “Tabs Container” and
    • Region “Region Display Selector” (edit: nvm. see Attributes: Display Region Icons)

it seems there is no easy declarative way to do it.

But for tabs on the same page with both

    • Template “Tabs Container” and
    • Region “Region Display Selector”

it seems there is no easy declarative way to do it.

What version are you on? In 24.1 RDS has a Display Region Icons attribute.

No equivalent for Tabs Container though.

Overlooked that option. It's also present on 23.2.

I don't usually use the Region Display Selector as it does not allow multiple per page.

Similar option for the Tabs Container would be nice.

Afaik this option has been in Apex since ages (or am I missing the point here?):
