Idea Summary
Reintroduce the option to toggle the visibility of the calendar icon on date type items/columns in Oracle APEX, a feature that was available before the 21.1 version.

Use Case
In scenarios where the calendar icon on date type items/columns may not be essential or is deemed distracting, users appreciated the ability to hide it in previous versions of Oracle APEX. The reintroduction of this feature would cater to users who prefer a cleaner and more customized user interface, allowing them to manage the visibility of the calendar icon based on their specific application requirements.

Preferred Solution (Optional)
Bring back the configuration option within Oracle APEX, available in versions preceding 21.1, that allows developers/administrators to choose whether the calendar icon should be displayed or hidden on date type items/columns. This reintroduced feature would provide users with greater control over the visual elements of their applications, ensuring a more tailored and user-friendly interface. Users can decide, based on their unique application needs, whether the calendar icon enhances the user experience or if it can be omitted for a more streamlined look and feel.

This is currently on the roadmap for a future release of Oracle APEX.
