Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c supports the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance through the use of a specific plug-in addition. This enables users to discover multiple Oracle Private Cloud Appliances, and manage them from a single instance of Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c.
The Oracle Private Cloud Appliance Plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager also provides photorealistic views of the rack and its components to facilitate hardware level monitoring. Oracle Enterprise Manager also provides an Oracle Virtualization (VT) Plug-in which enables users to discover and manage multiple Oracle VM Manager instances. The VT Plug-in provides the ability to monitor all Oracle VM components such as Oracle VM guests, Oracle VM Servers (hypervisors), resource pools, storage and networking. The VT Plug-in also provides the foundation for infrastructure cloud services, providing secure multi-tenancy with self-service, elasticity and accountability.
This page provides links to video-based training to support Cloud Administration of the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance with Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Cloud Control. The Cloud Administrator is a role that grants particular privileges to any user for the purpose of configuring the resources that enable Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Once configured, the Oracle Enterprise Manager Self Service Administrator and Self Service User can allocate and consume, respectively, those IaaS resources.
For presentations on Oracle Enterprise Manager Self Service User (Oracle Private Cloud at Customer, Customer User) tasks and Self Service Administrator (Oracle Private Cloud at Customer, Customer Administrator) tasks, see the Oracle Learning Library page for Oracle Private Cloud at Customer Training.
Oracle Enterprise Manager includes pre-defined roles for administrators. A good practice for Oracle Enterprise Manager is to create roles for customization and leave the default roles as originally configured. So, depending on your allocation of tasks, it might be useful to create roles that include customized privileges.

The Cloud Administrator needs to be able to refer components such as Assemblies, Templates and ISO files from an external HTTP server. This presentation provides a demonstration to configure such a location within the Oracle Enterprise Manager Software Library.
The Customer or Self Service User is limited to a very small file size for uploading templates or assemblies. This presentation and demonstration show how setting the uploaded file maximum will allow users to upload files up to the new maximum value.
Duration: 4 mins
The Oracle Enterprise Manager software library is password protected for use. Set this password to enable imports of ISO files, templates and/or assemblies.
Duration: 2 mins
This presentation shows the Cloud Administrator how to change their password.
Duration: 1 mins
In this presentation, you see how the Cloud Administrator registers the Oracle VM Manager of the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.
Duration: 6 mins
The Cloud Administrator configures the tinyproxy service on the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance management nodes to ensure smooth IaaS operation. This configuration tasks helps by avoiding potential problems when importing a template or assembly file.
This presentation shows how to remove local repositories from use by Oracle Enterprise Manager. This task supports smooth IaaS operation by making sure that repositories on shared storage are used.
Duration: 3 mins
This presentation explains key concepts and requirements for using the Kubernetes as a Service features in Oracle Enterprise Manager and the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance. This presentation is aimed at Oracle Private Cloud at Customer subscription customer users, and also applies to Oracle Private Cloud Appliance self service users

This is the second of three presentations, starting with the one titled "Introduction to Incident Rules and Creating a Rule for Agent States." In this presentation for the Cloud Administrator, you see how to create a warning level notification for Oracle VM Server disk space utilization.
Also see the presentation titled "Enabling the Cloud Administrator to Configure Additional Incident Notifications."
This is the third of three presentations about incident rules and notification that discusses how to include a SNMP trap for notification whenever an Oracle VM Server - which is also an Oracle Private Cloud Appliance compute node - goes down.
To view an introduction to incident management, see the presentation titled "Introduction to Incident Rules and Creating a Rule for Agent States."
