Cloud Administration

Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c supports the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance through the use of a specific plug-in addition. This enables users to discover multiple Oracle Private Cloud Appliances, and manage them from a single instance of Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c.

The Oracle Private Cloud Appliance Plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager also provides photorealistic views of the rack and its components to facilitate hardware level monitoring. Oracle Enterprise Manager also provides an Oracle Virtualization (VT) Plug-in which enables users to discover and manage multiple Oracle VM Manager instances. The VT Plug-in provides the ability to monitor all Oracle VM components such as Oracle VM guests, Oracle VM Servers (hypervisors), resource pools, storage and networking. The VT Plug-in also provides the foundation for infrastructure cloud services, providing secure multi-tenancy with self-service, elasticity and accountability.

This page provides links to video-based training to support Cloud Administration of the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance with Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Cloud Control. The Cloud Administrator is a role that grants particular privileges to any user for the purpose of configuring the resources that enable Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Once configured, the Oracle Enterprise Manager Self Service Administrator and Self Service User can allocate and consume, respectively, those IaaS resources.

For presentations on Oracle Enterprise Manager Self Service User (Oracle Private Cloud at Customer, Customer User) tasks and Self Service Administrator (Oracle Private Cloud at Customer, Customer Administrator) tasks, see the Oracle Learning Library page for Oracle Private Cloud at Customer Training.
