Reference doclets contain common report content for use in report package doclets by doclet authors with differing duties.
Using Oracle Smart View for Office or the web, doclet authors can embed content into doclets that are part of the published report in Word- or PowerPoint-based report packages. Doclet authors can also create report content in Microsoft Excel and insert that content into doclets using reference files. The inserted refreshable content is automatically updated whenever the associated file is modified.
Refreshable content can be text and value variables; reference content such as tables, charts, and images; and Management Reports.
