    • This video demonstrates how to register Oracle Linux environments hosted in on-premises data centers or in 3rd party cloud deployments as managed instances with Oracle OS Management Hub. Oracle OS Management Hub is used to manage and monitor updates and patches for Oracle Linux environments using the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure web console as a centralized management hub. A managed instance is a bare metal server or virtual machine that is registered with Oracle OS Management Hub. The Managed instance receives updates and patches from the OS Management Hub service which supports Oracle Linux 7 or later OS versions. This video will walk through: 00:10 Managed Instance Overview 01:29 Collect registration profile contents 01:50 Create a Registeration Profile file 02:18 Download Management Agent Software 02:39 Copy the Management Agent Install Key 02:55 Create an Input Response file 03:53 Install Management Agent Software 04:23 Configure and start the Management Agent 04:58 Verify the registration 05:25 Schedule reoccuring updates Learn more with this documentation: - https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/osmh/doc/register-non-oci-instance.htm - https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/management-agents/doc/install-management-agent-chapter.html For additional videos on Oracle OS Management Hub, go to https://oracle.com/goto/osmhlearning
