    • "Threats", "Hacking", "Attacks" are commonplace in many business cases for security related projects. Keeping out the bad guys and stopping the malicious behaviour have been the key drivers of security projects for a long time. Whilst these issues are still very real and need to be addressed, we are at a key milestone for Information Security. The explosion in the use of mobile devices, cloud computing and social media gives organisations a fantastic opportunity to better engage their prospects and customers. Join this webcast to see how Information Security can help you take advantage of these trends and exploit them to accelerate the delivery of projects and business growth.

    • Customizing the user interface in Oracle Identity Governance involves writing managed beans
and ADF task flows using the Java programming language. This document describes the steps
      to

      • Create a JDeveloper project of the correct type
      • Build the project, resulting in a Java library containing the compiled code
      • Deploy the library to Oracle Identity Governance
      • Configure authorization policies so that task flows are displayed

    • In this tutorial, you learn to generate a SOA composite application template that is designed to integrate with the Oracle Identity Manager 11g request approval process requirements through the use of an approval policy.
While you can manually create a SOA composite from scratch to meet the interface definition and processing requirements for approval processing, the tutorial guides you through using the much quicker and easier approach of generating a template composite application by using the new_project.xml Ant script supplied with Oracle Identity Manager 11g installations.
      Tutorial tasks include:

      • Generating the SOA composite template application using the Ant script
      • Opening the generated application workspace in the Oracle JDeveloper 11g Composite Editor and modifying the BPEL Process and Human Task to implement a parallel task assignment scenario for approval processing.
      • Creating an ADF-based Taskflow (effectively, Web application form) for the human workflow process for the Oracle Identity Manager request data to be visible to assignee’s to whom the approval task is routed.
      • Deploying the SOA composite application and Taskflow application to the Oracle Identity Manager environment
      • Create an Approval Policy to use the custom SOA approval process for new requests made in Oracle Identity Manager 11g.
      • Testing the custom approval process by configuring users, roles, and other data in Oracle Identity Manager to make a request that is subject to custom approval processing and observing the implementation in action.

    • The Identity Self Service user interface (UI) in Oracle Identity Manager 11gR2 PS1 is based on Application Development Framework (ADF), which ensures consistent customization. ADF allows UI customization that is safe from patches and upgrades. This means that after you apply patches to Oracle Identity Manager or upgrade Oracle Identity Manager, the UI customizations are preserved.

UI customizations and personalizations are performed using the Web Composer, which runs in the browser, eliminating the need for additional development environments. Customizations, after they are published, take effect for all users, and can be performed only by administrators with the requisite authorization. Personalization can be performed by any user and changes made by a user do not affect any other user.

      In this tutorial, you will:

      • Rebrand the Identity Self Service Console
      • Use the Web Composer to modify a button label
      • Use the Web Composer to hide UI components, such as fields on a page
      • Add a custom user attribute, modify pages to include the attribute, and define a policy to display the attribute only to users assigned to specific roles
      • Personalize the Home Page of the Identity Self Service Console
      • Personalize search results by creating and saving custom search filters
      • Rename panel text for the Identity Self Service Console
      • Organize, rename, and hide menus for the Identity Self Service Console
      • Add a user defined field (UDFs) to a page on the Identity Self Service Console
      • Add the UDF to a search page

    • This tutorial is based on Oracle Identity Governance 11g R2 PS1.

When creating requests for application instances using the Identity Self Service console, the form associated with the application instance must be completed. A common requirement is to have the fields in the form be pre-populated based on the user profile of the beneficiary of the request. This tutorial explains how to:

      • create a managed bean in JDeveloper
      • deploy the managed bean to Oracle Identity Governance
      • customize the Identity Self-Service console to add a "Prepopulate" button
      • test the customization

    • A Home Page Portlet is a panel that can be added to the Home Page in the Self Service Console. Oracle Identity Governance comes with several portlets, and additional portlets can be developed to meet specific business requirements.

In this example, we develop a "System News" portlet that displays a message relevant to users logging into Oracle Identity Governance.

Creating a Home Page portlet requires:

      • creating a bounded task flow using ADF
      • deploying the ADF library containing the taskflow to Oracle Identity Governance
      • adding the portlet to the home page

    • In this tutorial, you perform the following tasks related to skin customization with the Oracle Identity Manager 11gR2 PS1. Catalog page:

      • Preparing a sample (supplied) application workspace in JDeveloper
      • Compiling and deploying the sample application
      • Activating the sample skin to view the demo customization

    • Oracle Identity Manager 11g R2 PS1 introduces a self-service user interface. This interface is based on the Application Development Framework (ADF) and a UI customization framework, which is based on Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies, including Web Composer, Metadata Services (MDS), and ADF Business Components (ADF BC). This user interface is completely customizable and configurable.

For this tutorial, you are to customize the Create User form of the Identity Self Service Console for your company (Example Corp). For this scenario, when creating a user, the Oracle Identity Manager administrator is to select a user type for the user. If the user type is Contractor, additional contractor-related fields are available for the administrator to populate. If the administrator selects a different user type (for example, Full-Time Employee), these fields do not appear for the administrator.

      In these topics, you will:

      • Add user-defined fields (UDFs) to the User entity in Oracle Identity Manager
      • Prepare your JDeveloper environment to perform the customizations specified in this tutorial
      • Develop the code for two Lists of Values (LOVs) used in Oracle Identity Manager: Job Code and Responsibility. The values in the Responsibility LOV are filtered, based on the Job Code LOV specified by the administrator when creating the user.
      • Develop the managed bean that reads and sets form field values for the Job Code and Responsibility UDFs
      • Compile the code and bean you developed so that Oracle Identity Manager can use it
      • Add the (UDFs) you created in the first topic to the Create User form of the Identity Self Service Console

    • Purpose of this video is to explain Identity Governance with simple day-to-day business scenarios.

    • This OBE tutorial covers how to integrate two Oracle Identity Governance products: Oracle Identity Manager and Oracle Privileged Account Manager.
