A new feature called Instance principals is now available within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) service. After you set up the required resources and policies, an application running on an instance can call Oracle Cloud Infrastructure public services, removing the need to configure user credentials or a configuration file. With this new feature, you can authorize an instance to make API calls in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services. This video details the features and functions of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Instance Principals in IAM. You will also see an example demonstration where an instance runs a python script to read data from Object Storage.
