This tutorial is intended to illustrate the standard implementation sequence and mechanics of implementing a service within a Service and Network Orchestration (SNO) solution. It illustrates a complete implementation cycle of a very simple service using the Rapid Service Design methodology.
The exercise starts with the definition of a Conceptual Model, then proceeds to capturing and detailing the Conceptual Model using Design Studio. This model is then used to drive the realization of application-specific technical catalog metadata. Simple readiness data is configured, then the application-specific catalog metadata is deployed to a run-time environment to provide a working implementation for the new service. As a final step, Service Orders are executed for the new service, resulting in actual network configuration being applied.

This is part 1 of the Hello World Service Domain Creation walk-through
Duration: 14 minutes
This is part 2 of the Hello World Service Domain Creation walk-through. This session explains the "paper" design of the Hello World Service Domain. It introduces the assumptions of the domain, the business logic and the parameterization, then shows how this information can be expressed in a Conceptual Model, following the principles of Oracles Rapid Service Design methodology.
Duration: 17 minutes
This is part 3 of the Hello World Service Domain Creation walk-through. This session illustrates the capture of the Conceptual Model for the "Hello World" Service Domain in Design Studio.
Duration: 37 minutes
This is Part 4 of the SNO Hello World Service Domain Creation walk- through. This session explains autorealizaitons within SNO, and executes the autorealizations for CFSes, RFSs, Resources and Service Actions within the Hello World Conceptual Model.
Duration: 18 minutes
This is Part 5 of the SNO Hello World Service Domain Creation walk-through. This session illustrates the completion of the application-specific implementation for UIM. This involves incrementing the autogenerated Design and Assign code with domain specific business logic, autorealizing the CTA metadata from Action Parameter Bindings (APBs), then deploying the cartridges to UIM, and finally creating appropriate instances of resources within UIM for readiness.
Duration: 28 minutes
This is Part 6 of the SNO Hello World Service Domain Creation walk-through. This session illustrates the completion of the application-specific implementation for ASAP This involves autorealizing CSDLs and ASDLs from the Activation Technical Actions, defining vendor specific actions processors using CLI code generation in a new Network cartridge, deploying the resultant ASAP cartridges, and then finally creating and running tests to exercise the individual CSDLs.
Duration: 29 minutes
This is Part 7 of the SNO Hello World Service Domain Creation walk-through. This session illustrates the completion of the application-specific implementation for OSM This involves incrementing the solution projects (Model Container and Composite) for SOM and TOM with references to the new projects introduced by Hello World. In addition the solution topology is updated for both TOM and SOM to accommodate the new service. And finally, the OSM solution is deployed to the run-time environment.
Duration: 19 minutes
This is the final segment of the Hello World Service Domain Creation walk-through. This session verifies the deployment of a application cartridges, then creates example service orders and shows the processing of these orders to create instances of "Hello World" in the network..
Duration: 21 minutes
