Managing Security in Oracle Data Integrator

This learning path provides you the essential guidelines and detailed instructions for securing the Oracle Data Integrator environment. This learning path includes two modules. The first module provides information about the best practices that Oracle recommends to ensure optimal security of Oracle Data Integrator Studio. The second module provides instructions to configure Standalone or Standalone Colocated agents to use a secure transport for data transfer.

    • The following is a list of minimum software requirements to start with this learning path:

      • Oracle Database 12c (for the repository)
      • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c and all its components, including the run-time agent, need to have access to the remote credential store
      • An external authentication provider such as LDAP, OID, or WLS
      • A WebLogic Server instance installed and configured with OPSS

      This learning path assumes that as advanced users you:

      • Understand the basic installation and configuration concepts, such as ODI Install Types and ODI Agent Types.
      • Can perform basic tasks, such as Create or Modify an Agent.
