    • Business analysts with no coding experience can use the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Orchestrator Studio to design orchestrations to retrieve data from EnterpriseOne or perform particular business transactions in EnterpriseOne. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provides an Oracle JET template for creating custom user interfaces that you can upload to EnterpriseOne as EnterpriseOne Pages. The Oracle JET interface can be designed to use orchestrations for the underlying processing. The combination of Oracle JET, orchestrations, and EnterpriseOne Pages provides the capabilities to transform and extend business processes into a simplified user experience that satisfies your specific business needs, without having to change the underlying EnterpriseOne application code.

In this learning path, you will learn how to:

      • Create two orchestrations, one to retrieve EnterpriseOne data to determine customer credit usage, and another to place a credit hold on a customer.
      • Test an Oracle JET page preconfigured to provide a visualization of customer credit usage and a control to place a credit hold on a customer in EnterpriseOne. The orchestrations you create in this tutorial series provide the data and underlying processing for the Oracle JET page.
      • Upload the Oracle JET page to EnterpriseOne as an EnterpriseOne Page and attach it to an external form.
      • Add the external form to a CafeOne layout so users can use the Oracle JET page features to monitor a customer's credit status and place a credit hold on a customer.

    • For this learning path, you need the following prerequisites:

      • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Orchestrator Studio 6.1.0.0 or higher deployed in a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne test environment with a minimum of EnterpriseOne Tools 9.2.2.4.
      • Access to the Orchestrator Studio and permissions to create orchestration and service request components. See “Setting Up User Access to the Orchestrator Studio” in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Orchestrator Studio Guide.
      • Access to the Process Recorder in EnterpriseOne, which is enabled through UDO feature security.
      • Data for customers in the database, including a customer with a credit limit who has sales orders with unpaid lines.

In addition to the preceding prerequisites, you need the following prerequisites to complete the last module:

      • Oracle JDeveloper 12.2.1.0.0 or later for testing the Oracle JET page.
      • The E1JETDeveloper Environment, a JDeveloper project that enables users to test Oracle JET pages locally. You can download this project from the Update Center on My Oracle Support. In the Type field in the Update Center, search on EnterpriseOne User Defined Objects.
      • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Development Client, required to associate the EnterpriseOne Page to an external form in EnterpriseOne.
      • Permission to create EnterpriseOne Pages and CafeOne layouts, which are user defined objects controlled by an administrator through EnterpriseOne user defined object (UDO) security.
  • Creating an Orchestration to Check a Customers Credit Limit
      duration 40 Min
This module shows how to create service requests, that when added to an orchestration, retrieve EnterpriseOne data and perform a calculation on the data to determine customer credit usage.
