Data Integration is the mechanism by which integration processes are performed in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud. Designed for busy administrators and users, you can define file-based and direct integration sources, create mapping rules to translate source data into the required target format, and execute and manage the periodic data loading process. Common integration tasks are done using an easy-to-navigate interface that supports and conforms to how you work.

This learning path guides you through the different methods to load data using the Data Integration user interface, which is the next generation of the legacy Data Management user interface. Specifically, you will:

• Perform a basic numeric data load
• Perform a multi-period load with period data in columns
• Perform a multi-period load with row-based dates
• Perform a data load with multiple accounts in columns with numeric data
• Perform a data load with multiple accounts in columns with all data types

To complete this learning path, you should be familiar with Cloud Planning and Cloud Data Management / Data Integration.

This learning path uses the standard Planning demo instance, with additional dimension members and files specific to the examples in the learning path. The additional content is provided in a Data Integration.zip file that you download to your local drive. To complete the learning path, you will need access to the EPM Cloud Planning sample application.

To set up your environment for use with this learning path:

This example explains how to load a simple comma-delimited file with numeric data for a single period.

This example shows how to load a data file with values for multiple periods on a single line.

This example shows how to load data when a date is specified as a column in a source file with a period name that is different from the period name defined in the calendar mapping in Data Integration. This scenario requires you enter source mappings so that the periods defined in the source file can be mapped to the desired period in Data Integration.

In this example, the source data includes multiple values in a single row, instead of a single value on each row.

In this example, we will load data in multiple accounts that includes both numeric and non-numeric data. As we create the integration, we will add an additional column for a Smart List value. To do this, we will create a new member for the Account dimension, assign a data type of Smart List, and then assign the Smart List to the member.
