    • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne UX One provides an intuitive interface that enables users in specific roles to perform their day-to-day tasks efficiently. UX One is delivered with several pre-configured user roles. Each UX One role has security access to several user defined objects (UDOs) that are related to that role, such as composed EnterpriseOne pages, analytic components, watchlists, and queries. Therefore, to set up and implement UX One, it is important that you identify the roles and associated components.

For this learning path, we will use the Requisition Manager role as an example, but you can apply these steps to any of the other UX One roles.

For detailed descriptions of the UX One roles, see the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Applications UX One Roles User Guide.

In this learning path, you will learn how to:

      • Import and deploy UX One components and data.
      • Configure UX One roles.
      • Complete additional UX One configuration tasks.
      • Optionally, develop your own JET applications or extend ADF applications.

      Licensing

UX One includes restricted use licenses. The following licenses are not required for UX One:

      • A license to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne One View Reporting Foundation.
UX One landing pages include watchlists, and Oracle has provided a restricted use license to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne One View Reporting Foundation for use of the delivered watchlists.
      • Licenses to any specific One View Reporting applications.
UX One landing pages include some watchlists and analytic components that are based on specific One View Reporting applications. These Oracle-delivered components include a restricted use license to One View Reporting Foundation and One View Reporting applications.
      • BI Publisher
The analytic components on UX One landing pages are based on JET (Javascript Extension Toolkit), not BI Publisher.

For information on the restricted use licenses, see the UX One FAQ on LearnJDE.

    • For this learning path, you need the following prerequisites:

      • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Applications Release 9.2.
      • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Release 9.2 Update 1 or later.
      • Application Interface Services (AIS) Server in order to see analytic components, use notifications or orchestrations, or use ADF applications. See “Configuring the AIS Server” in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Application Interface Services Server Reference Guide.
      • (Optional) ADF Server only if using ADF applications or orchestrator studio. For a list of roles that include ADF applications, see the UX One EnterpriseOne Page/ Object Cross Reference (Doc ID 2227250.1) on My Oracle Support. For a list of ADF applications, search LearnJDE.com for “Information Center: Installation of ADF Components.”
      • Working knowledge of how to use Change Assistant. See “Using Change Assistant” in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Software Update Guide.
      • An understanding of the delivered UX One roles so that you can decide which ones you want to use. For detailed descriptions of the UX One roles, see the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Applications UX One Roles User Guide.
      • A demo/test/educational environment where you can safely install role and security records as well as business data, so that you can see the UX One components functioning properly.

In addition to the preceding prerequisites, you need the following prerequisites if you wish to complete the optional last module on developing your own JET applications or extending ADF applications:

      • General knowledge of JET for UX One development. See the following chapters in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne UX One Deployment and Development Guide:
        • EnterpriseOne JET Tools and Tips
        • EnterpriseOne JET Template Resources
        • UX One Development with Oracle JET
        • Setup for EnterpriseOne Page JET Development
      • Oracle JDeveloper 12.2.1.0.0 or later for testing the Oracle JET page that you’ve created.
      • The E1JETDeveloper Environment, a JDeveloper project that enables users to test Oracle JET pages locally. You can download this project from the Update Center on My Oracle Support. In the Type field in the Update Center, search on EnterpriseOne User Defined Objects.
      • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Development Client, required to associate the EnterpriseOne Page to an external form in EnterpriseOne.
