    • In this Learning Path, you learn how to apply Oracle Database 18c new features related to Multitenant architecture.

      • Configure the CDB lead and CDB members of a CDB fleet, then reports information about PDB members in a CDB fleet
      • Create and drop manual and automatic PDB snapshots in a carousel and create PDBs from PDB snapshots
      • Use dynamic container maps
      • Handle lockdown profile inheritance
      • Manage static versus dynamic lockdown profiles
      • Switch over a refreshable copy PDB and vice versa

      Access to Oracle Database 18c

      To complete the OBEs of this learning path, you need access to an Oracle Database 18c and to one or several CDBs depending on the OBE.
      Before starting viewing the OBEs of this module, if you are not so familiar with CDBs and application PDBs, you may follow the excellent Stale Standalone to SuperB SaaS in Short Series.
      It’s a series of thirteen videos to explain and demonstrate how Multitenant with Application Containers is the ideal architecture for world-class SaaS.
      You can also look at a new playlist available on YouTube, entitled “Multitenant: What’s New in 18c”.
      This is a short series of videos. Taken together it runs for about 30 minutes and can be viewed as an overview presentation.
      Each section can be viewed individually as well. Sections range from 1-9 minutes in length.
