  • Customizing Oracle Identity Governance 11gR2 : Creating a Home Page Portlet

A Home Page Portlet is a panel that can be added to the Home Page in the Self Service Console. Oracle Identity Governance comes with several portlets, and additional portlets can be developed to meet specific business requirements.

In this example, we develop a "System News" portlet that displays a message relevant to users logging into Oracle Identity Governance.

Creating a Home Page portlet requires:

    • creating a bounded task flow using ADF
    • deploying the ADF library containing the taskflow to Oracle Identity Governance
    • adding the portlet to the home page

    Duration: 90 minutes

This content is intended for the following job role(s): Security Administrator

    Release Date: 05-NOV-2013

In Step 2: Item 4. Too many assumptions are made that the person using this guide knows Oracle Entitlements Server. There should be more detail for these steps. How can I get more detailed steps? I'm only guessing at how to create the entitlements. In Step 3: There is nothing in my sample folder. I believe it is because I don't have the Entitlements setup correctly.

The steps you are looking for to create the resource in the Authorization Manager are covered in the tutorial marked as a prerequisite for this one. Please read the steps in section titled "Step 4: Configuring Authorization Policies" in the tutorial called "Customizing Oracle Identity Governance: Configuring JDeveloper" (here is the link, which is also included in this tutorial, to the "Customizing Oracle Identity Governance: Configuring JDeveloper" tutorial page: https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=44785:24:100282141199339::NO:24:P24_CONTENT_ID%2CP24_PREV_PAGE:8595%2C16 I believe this should provide the detailed steps to create the resource need in Step2: Item 4.
