Modern App developers build data-centric microservices across all industries for sales, operations, support, logistics, customer service, etc. workflows. Explore the data and application services inside and outside the converged Oracle Database - multi-tenant for SaaS Apps; using variety of data types (Documents, Tables, Key-value, Spatial, etc.), programming in multiple languages, using built-in Event Mesh (Oracle AQ/TEQ) - by building a sample food delivery application ‘GrabDish’ (like UberEats).

  • Data-centric microservices walkthrough with Helidon MP
  • Polygot Microservices
  • Scaling the Application
  • Observability
  • Create an APEX App to make sense of the data
  • Transactional Tests: Compare MongoDB, Postgres, and Kafka to Oracle DB with TEQ/AQ
  • Familiarity with Database is desirable, but not required
  • Some understanding of cloud and database terms is helpful
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is helpful
