About This Workshop
Oracle customers are moving Oracle workloads into the Oracle Cloud or onto Engineered Systems at a growingly rapid pace. However, migrating workloads has been a source of challenges for many years. In particular, migrating database workloads from one system to another or into the Cloud is easier said than done.

Based on years of experience migrating Oracle workloads, Oracle has developed Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM). ZDM is Oracle’s premier solution for a simplified and automated migration experience, providing zero to negligible downtime for the production system and depending on the migration scenario. ZDM allows you to directly and seamlessly migrate your on-premises Oracle Databases to and between any Oracle-owned infrastructure, including Exadata Database Machine On-Premises, Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaC@C), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

This workshop covers a step-by-step guide to migrating your On-Premises Oracle Databases to Oracle Co-Managed databases, including Oracle Base Database, Oracle Exadata Database Service Dedicated, and Exadata Cloud at Customer using ZDM's Physical Online Methodology with backup location for transferring the source database backup to target database.
